La noche en que morí (The Night I Died)

La noche en que morí was born from an intense altered state of consciousness in which I experienced what felt like my own physical death. I found myself crossing into a world inhabited by the dead, where fear gradually gave way to acceptance and compassion. The painting captures that threshold between death and return: the dissolution of the self, the encounter with darkness, and the possibility of being reborn after confronting it. Rather than representing death as an ending, the work explores it as a process of transformation — a symbolic death from which a different version of the self can emerge.
