Salvation

From a dream; the houses, they should be safe, but the windows are black voids. The fence, curving the wrong way, leading to nowhere; it’s supposed to guide me home but it loops and distorts into the dark. The terror stems from such contradiction - pink and green should feel soft and safe, but here it is not. The coal black sky adding to the tone of not only feeling isolated but also exposed to whatever danger may lie ahead of my path. Yet, there’s comfort and familiarity in this atmosphere, as if a wave of nostalgic Deja vu sweeps my mind. I’ve been here once before. Less afraid.
