It is not the eyes that are blind, but the hearts.

It Is Not the Eyes That Are Blind, but the Hearts Sometimes the truth does not hide from us. It stands quietly before our eyes, waiting to be seen. Yet we remain unable to recognize it,not because we cannot see, but because we are too deeply entangled in what we believe, what we fear, and what we wish to be true. The flies forming the eye chart become a quiet and unsettling metaphor. What should help us see more clearly is made from what we instinctively reject; what appears insignificant or repulsive may, in fact, contain something essential. The figure turns toward the chart, yet remains unable to read it. Perhaps this is the blindness of being too close to our own lives. Like standing within a forest and searching for its shape, we cannot always perceive the truth while we are still lost inside it. The work asks not whether we are capable of seeing, but whether we are willing to see. For sometimes the eyes receive the light, but it is the heart that decides what we are able to perceive.
