Hello, I'm Thinloth.

I'm a visual self-taught artist based in Poland using different traditional techniques to express myself. The main artistic medium I work with since around 2010 is self-portrait photography, showing usually my daily life captured in artistic frames. Most of them dance around the archetype of free woman, called by some „the witch”. In my paintings you can see droplets of my reality, that I’m not able to show through traditional photography. The way I see it. How I feel it. Which I experience both – being awake and in reality of nightdreams, when my mind travels through different dimensions, sometimes flying with the mesmerizing darkness of deep abysses. Everything that dance wildly inside me. Often there are plenty of contradictory elements, hardly to catch and name. Elusive, on the verge of visibility and perceptibility… Complicated. Sometimes keeping me from sleeping. And not because of fear, nor horror but because of the need to catch up with them. Sort out, understand, honour by giving them a chance to be noticed and appreciated in their own, sometimes, twisted way. www.thinloth.com
