Hello, I'm therahmon.
Rahmon Muminov is a Tajik artist working in oil painting, murals, and graphic art. His creative focus is religion, the nature of power, gender inequality, and the aesthetics of time and its impact on history. For him, Time is also an artist—one that adds the final touches and gives each work its own character. His visual style, especially in recent pieces, deliberately mimics time: canvases look aged and yellowed, the palette is muted, and the surface seems to have survived all the disasters of the 20th century. Muminov graduated from the M. Osimi Vocational Technical College in architecture and is currently a fourth-year design student at the A.N. Kosygin Russian State University. His artistic vision has been strongly shaped by Renaissance and medieval masters. He has taken part in more than five group and solo exhibitions; his solo project Texture of Life won critical praise. His works are held in private galleries in the United States, France, India, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Russia.
